Freddy Nordstrom To Compete In The Home Of The SEAT Supercopa.

Anglo-Swedish racing driver Freddy Nordstrom is set to compete in the Spanish SEAT Leon Supercopa in 2009. The 6 round Championship visits 5 Spanish circuits plus an ‘away’ race to the new state of the art Portimão Circuit in the Algarve, Portugal.

Freddy will be the first Scandinavian driver to compete in the series which was won by British driver Tom Boardman in 2008 who has gone on to race in the World Touring Car Championship in 2009. Having previously competed in the SEAT Cupra Championship in the UK and tested his newly upgraded Supercopa, Freddy is no stranger to the car and relishes the challenge of new circuits.

A season of racing in Spain will not only aide his long term touring car racing ambitions but will also feature heavily in his University studies in 2009. As a student of International Business in London, Freddy will be looking to add Spanish language skills to his repertoire; he is already tri-lingual in Swedish, English and French as well as conversational German!

Freddy will be looking to race on British soil though in the SEAT Eurocup British round which supports the WTCC at Brands Hatch in July.
