At just 21 years of age, Freddy Nordstrom (Weybridge, Surrey) has taken the racetrack by storm, and has emerged as one to watch in the new generation of saloon & sportscar talents.
His young years belie a mature racing knowledge, fostered since his 2003 debut in the T-Car Championships. His 2005 entry into the John Cooper Challenge (relaunched for 2006 as the Mini Challenge) saw Freddy immediately competitive, taking his maiden Mini win and numerous podiums to finish 4th in the S Class Championship.
For 2006, Freddy's eyes were firmly fixed on the S Class title which he took in blistering style. Indeed the figures speak for themselves of the success for Freddy and the Advent Motorsport Team. In the 16 race season, Freddy finished 14 times on the podium including 3 wins. In fact, Freddy finished every race to end the year with an enviable 100% points scoring record!
2007 saw Freddy take a natural move into the exciting arena of the SEAT Cupra Championship, a series with a reputation for nurturing the very best of new saloon car talent.
Freddy proved a pacesetter for the R Class from the onset. He finished the year in a credible 4th place having racked up 3 wins and finishing 50% of his races on the podium
In 2008 Freddy returned to the SEAT Cupra Cup, this time behind the wheel of a brand new SEAT Leon with backing from PlumberTraining.com, and once again run by Advent Motorsport.
2009 saw Freddy compete in the SEAT Leon Supercopa in Spain as well as the British round of the Eurocup at Brands Hatch. For 2010 he is returning to Spain, to again contest the Supercopa series. He also aims to team this with an outing in the Eurocup at Brands Hatch in July.
Away from the track Freddy is well prepared with language skills to match his driving prowess! As his car colourfully demonstrates, Freddy's Swedish background is close to his heart and as well as being tri-lingual in English, Swedish and French he can also converse! Also, a keen poker player we are sure he will be keeping a cool tactical head for the races!
