Freddy Nordstrom Finishes the SEAT Cupra Championship in Fine Form with a Pair of Podiums

Freddy Nordstrom (Weybridge) finished the SEAT Cupra Championship with a pair of superb performances seeing him finish 2nd in both races at the season finale held at Thruxton.

A brake problem hampered the Surrey teenager's qualifying session in which he took 5th and 2nd on the grids for the weekend's double header event but the Advent Motorsport team soon remedied the problem to ensure the HipHipHooray.com backed driver was back to top form for the all important races.

Both races saw Freddy in his finest fighting form with the action fast and close. With few passing places at Thruxton Freddy still managed to scythe through the field and both races saw him and Ian Churchill have an electrifying battle at the front of the R Class. In both races Freddy set the fastest lap, further cementing his position as one of the pacesetters of the season. Finishing both races in 2nd was a well deserved finish for Freddy who has finished 50% of his races this year on the podium!

"It has been a good season in all" says Freddy who finishes the Championship in 4th, "and a great learning curve. Being part of the TOCA paddock certainly makes you feel in the heart of British motorsport which is very inspiring so I can't wait for 2008 now!"

Freddy will now test a new SEAT Leon which he hopes to contend in 2008, and will spend the winter testing and looking to raise the necessary funding for next year's campaign.
